The Festival is dedicated to celebrating, advancing the practice and culture of design across Cameroon and beyond. The Founding Edition will take place from 22–25 October 2026.

Look around you. From the chair you sit on to the shoes on your feet, design directs how we live, move, work, and express who we are. Across cultures and continents, humans are connected by a shared appreciation for thoughtful, impactful design.
Spanning West and Central Africa, the wider African continent, and the Diaspora, the Shaped by Design Exhibition brings together designers whose work provides solutions to real human needs, cultural memory, local materials, and global challenges. It creates the space for shared aspiration and global unity through the power of design.
DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT EXHIBITION
Design is the conveyor of innovation, economic growth, and national development. The Design & Development Exhibition showcases locally developed products, digital, fashion, spatial, and artistic design solutions that influence everyday life while pointing toward future possibilities. These works demonstrate how thoughtful design improves efficiency, usability, and accessibility, and how it contributes to building resilient businesses, smarter tools, and more responsive systems.
By focusing on locally developed ideas and solutions, the Design & Development Exhibition positions design as an essential engine for progress, one that supports innovation, strengthens industries, and drives Cameroon’s economic strength forward.
